Jonathan Tilt. Acupuncturist. Wakefield Acupuncture.
Jonathan is the principal acupuncturist at Wakefield Acupuncture. Whilst other acupuncturists sometimes cover holiday and very busy periods it will almost certainly be Jonathan you see if you book a consultation or appointment.
Jonathan qualified as an acupuncturist in 2009 after a three year course at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York. Prior to retraining as an acupuncturist Jonathan worked as an accountant. He explains his approach to acupuncture as
“To provide a highly focused acupuncture service which aims to get you better and discharged. I want to understand the chronology and connections around your pain in order to develop an individual approach which treats you not just your condition. I don’t follow formulaic approaches although I do rely heavily on distal needling.“
Jonathan generally uses a range of acupuncture techniques that focus on using distal points in the lower limbs. He explained
” Over many years of using acupuncture and evolving my practice I’ve found that distal points are usually more effective than the alternatives. My practice is results based and I rely on the points that are best at supporting that”
Jonathan is well known in the Wakefield area and stood as an Independent candidate to be Mayor of West Yorkshire in 2024 gaining 9% of the vote.
