We provide acupuncture at the following clinics

Outside of these times we operate a mobile acupuncture service in the Wakefield and Barnsley areas.

Mobile appointments cost £40 whilst clinic based appointments are avialable from £23 per session

We offer free initial telephone consultations where you can discuss how acupuncture could help you. These consultations, which are without any obligation to have treatment, can be booked either by calling 01924 847860 or emailing wakefieldacupuncture@hotmail.co.uk

Treatments usually last 45 minutes. Members of health schemes such as Westfield and Simply Health can generally reclaim most of the cost of acupuncture treatment.

Acupuncture is a form of oriental medicine that utilises very fine needles to regulate the flow of energy and blood within the body. Acupuncture is painless and totally hygienic, the needles are so fine that you probably won't even feel them being inserted. Most patients describe treatments as being relaxing.

As a form of holistic medicine acupuncture needles are often placed in parts of the body that not near where the pain is. The forms of acupuncture that we rely heavily on mostly make use of points in the lower legs and lower arms. Frequently the aim with acupuncture is to stimulate the body's own healing and immune systems.

We treat a wide range of conditions but have a particular focus on

In each of these areas we achieve very good results. If you are interested in receiving treatment for a condition not mentioned above please feel free to contact us to discuss whether acupuncture could help you. We will always provide an honest assessment at the start of any treatment and if we feel that acupuncture is unlikely to help you we will say so.

The majority of our patients report positive results within three to five treatments. We believe that you should not have to keep receiving acupuncture in order to prevent a condition returning ( with the exception of migraines where occasional ongoing maintenance treatments are usually necessary).

Our aim is to get you better quickly so that you can get on with your life.
